Top 20 Best Buffet Restaurants in Karachi (2026 Rankings)

I've spent the last month eating my way through Karachi's buffet scene. From high-end hotel spreads to local BBQ feasts, here are the 20 best buffet restaurants in Karachi with prices, variety, and honest reviews.

Buffet quality in Karachi varies more than it should. The difference between PKR 800 and PKR 3,500 isn't just quantity. It's whether the chafing dishes get refilled, whether the food was cooked today, and whether you leave satisfied or just uncomfortably full.

I judged these on three things: food quality when it comes out, variety that actually matters (not 15 versions of the same curry), and whether the price makes sense.

1. Okra (Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi)

  • Price: PKR 4,500-5,500 per person (Friday brunch higher)
  • Type: International buffet
  • Location: Shahrah-e-Faisal

The Friday brunch here has become a Karachi institution. Proper carving station with roast beef and lamb. Seafood section usually includes fresh prawns and sometimes lobster, though I've been on days when the lobster ran out by 2 PM.

What I come back for: dessert station. The tiramisu is better than most Italian restaurants in the city. They make fresh crepes to order. The Pakistani section feels like an afterthought. Best for special occasions or when someone else is paying. Three hours minimum to make the price worth it.

2. Café Flo (Marriott Hotel)

  • Price: PKR 3,800-4,200 per person
  • Type: European and Continental
  • Location: Clifton

Sunday brunch here skews Continental. Good cheese selection, decent sushi by Karachi standards, seasonal menu changes that actually happen. Quality dropped slightly after COVID but it's still solid.

The live pasta station works because they don't overcook everything. Carbonara is passable. Skip the Chinese section. I don't know why hotel buffets insist on including mediocre Chinese food.

3. Dynasty (Avari Towers)

  • Price: PKR 2,800-3,200 per person
  • Type: Chinese buffet
  • Location: Clifton (Fatima Jinnah Road)

If you want Chinese food in bulk, Dynasty delivers. Rotating menu usually includes Peking duck, dim sum, Sichuan options with actual heat. The soup dumplings here are the best I've found at any Karachi buffet.

They make them throughout service, not just one batch that sits under a heat lamp. This is heavy food. I loaded up on fried rice first once and barely made it through two plates. Start with the steamed stuff.

4. Sakura (Avari Towers)

  • Price: PKR 3,500-4,000 per person (Friday and Saturday only)
  • Type: Japanese buffet
  • Location: Clifton (Fatima Jinnah Road)

The only proper Japanese buffet in the city. Limited selection but what they do is done well. Fresh sashimi, decent tempura, made-to-order sushi. I'm picky about Japanese food, and while this doesn't compare to Tokyo, it's the best you'll find in Karachi without paying fine-dining prices.

The teppanyaki station is fun if you like watching food get cooked in front of you. Less fun when you're stuck waiting 15 minutes for fried rice.

5. Kolachi (Do Darya)

  • Price: PKR 2,200-2,800 per person (varies by day)
  • Type: Pakistani BBQ and seafood
  • Location: Clifton (Do Darya)

Where locals go for Pakistani buffet. Setting by the water is genuinely nice. BBQ section is what you're paying for—mutton karahi, chicken tikka, seekh kebabs, fish tikka, all fresh off outdoor grills.

Dessert section is forgettable unless you count unlimited kheer and gulab jamun as variety. I don't. Thursday and Friday nights get packed. Book ahead or show up before 8 PM.

6. BBQ Tonight

The OG Karachi BBQ buffet. They've been doing this since before buffets were trendy. Beef boti and chicken malai boti are consistently good. Unlimited rice and naan, obviously.

Not fancy. Crowded hall, families, large groups. The food hits the spot and the price is fair. The North Nazimabad branch is less chaotic than Boat Basin.

7. Fujiyama (Avari Towers)

  • Price: PKR 3,200-3,600 per person
  • Type: Pan-Asian buffet
  • Location: Clifton (Fatima Jinnah Road)

Mix of Japanese, Thai, and Chinese. Less authentic than Sakura or Dynasty but more variety if your group can't agree on one cuisine. Thai curries are better than the Chinese stir-fries. Sushi is okay, nothing special.

I skip the sushi and load up on Thai. They do themed nights sometimes—Thai night, Japanese night—where the buffet focuses on one cuisine. Those beat the regular all-Asian spread.

8. Kababjees

  • Price: PKR 1,600-1,900 per person
  • Type: Pakistani and Continental
  • Multiple locations: DHA, PECHS, Gulshan-e-Iqbal

Kababjees has been around forever. Buffet is dependable. Pakistani classics—biryani, karahi, BBQ—plus Continental dishes like fried fish and grilled chicken. Nothing here will blow your mind, but nothing will disappoint either. DHA location is nicer.

9. Salt n Pepper Village

  • Price: PKR 1,400-1,700 per person
  • Type: Pakistani buffet
  • Multiple locations across Karachi

Lunch and dinner buffet has gotten really popular. Good variety of Pakistani food, decent BBQ, drinks included. Better for large groups or family dinners. Atmosphere is casual verging on chaotic at peak hours.

10. Café Aylanto

  • Price: PKR 3,500-4,000 per person (Sunday brunch)
  • Type: Mediterranean and Continental
  • Location: Zamzama (Clifton)

Weekend brunch buffet is smaller than hotel buffets but higher quality. Mediterranean section is where they shine—good hummus, baba ganoush, fresh salads, grilled halloumi. Made-to-order eggs and pancakes. Pastry selection is excellent. Less "stuff yourself," more "leisurely weekend meal."

11. Neco (Marriott Hotel)

  • Price: PKR 2,800-3,200 per person
  • Type: Pan-Asian
  • Location: Clifton

Weekday lunch buffet is one of the better hotel deals. Thai, Japanese, Chinese, with lighter, healthier dishes. Tom yum soup is actually spicy, rare for hotel Asian food. Good steamed fish and vegetables if you're trying to eat somewhat healthy at a buffet.

12. Bundu Khan

Another BBQ institution. Unlimited karahi is the main draw. Chicken, mutton, beef karahi all cooked fresh. BBQ selection is smaller than BBQ Tonight but still solid. Loud. Families with kids everywhere. Not the place for conversation.

13. Del Frio

  • Price: PKR 2,500-2,900 per person
  • Type: Continental and Pakistani
  • Location: Clifton

Sunday buffet tries to do everything—Pakistani, Continental, Chinese, BBQ—and mostly succeeds. Fried fish is particularly good. Usually two or three karahi options. Dessert includes ice cream and traditional Pakistani sweets. Gajar halwa in winter is worth saving room for.

14. Hyderabad Darbar

  • Price: PKR 1,200-1,500 per person
  • Type: Hyderabadi and Pakistani
  • Location: Tariq Road

Basically a biryani buffet. Multiple types of biryani, some curry, BBQ, naan. If you're not big on biryani, skip it. Hyderabadi biryani here is better than most buffet biryani. Very casual environment.

15. Copper Kettle

  • Price: PKR 2,200-2,600 per person
  • Type: Continental
  • Location: Zamzama (Clifton)

Weekend buffet focuses on Continental—pasta, grilled meats, salads, soup. Smaller spread than hotels but higher quality. Good if you're tired of heavy Pakistani food. Minestrone is consistently good. Decent Caesar salad.

16. China Town (Mehran Hotel)

Straightforward Chinese buffet. Fried rice, noodles, sweet and sour chicken. Well-executed comfort food. Fresh spring rolls throughout service. Soup selection is better than most Chinese buffets in the city.

17. Ginsoy

  • Price: PKR 1,800-2,200 per person (select branches only)
  • Type: Pan-Asian
  • Select locations: Check before visiting

Not all Ginsoy locations do buffets. The ones that do offer decent value. Mix of Chinese, Thai, Japanese. Sushi is mediocre, wok-fried dishes are good. Menu changes based on what's working.

18. Boat Basin Food Street (Various Vendors)

  • Price: PKR 800-1,200 per person
  • Type: Street food all-you-can-eat
  • Location: Boat Basin (Clifton)

Not technically one buffet. Several vendors offer flat-rate deals where you eat from their full menu. BBQ, karahi, tikka, naan, drinks for around PKR 1,000. Quality varies by vendor.

19. Café Zing (Beach Luxury Hotel)

  • Price: PKR 2,600-3,000 per person
  • Type: International buffet
  • Location: Clifton

Hotel isn't well-known but the buffet is surprisingly good. Pakistani, Continental, Chinese, decent BBQ. Seafood is fresher than most places because they're close to the fish harbor. When they have grilled fish or prawns, grab them.

20. Zamzama Rooftop BBQ

  • Price: PKR 1,300-1,600 per person
  • Type: BBQ buffet
  • Location: Zamzama (Clifton)

Various rooftop spots on Zamzama do rotating BBQ buffets. Standard food—tikka, seekh kebabs, chicken pieces—but nice view of the area. These places come and go. Good for groups, especially outdoors.

Making the Most of Your Buffet Trip

Weekday lunch buffets are the best value. Monday-Thursday often features the same menu as dinner but at a 20-30% discount.

Scout the whole buffet before filling your first plate. I've loaded up on mediocre items only to find the good stuff at the end of the line.

Avoid the fillers. Most Pakistani buffets have salad bars that are purely for decoration. Skip the lettuce and go for the BBQ and specialties.
